Today’s entry is a follow-up from the one I posted one year ago today: See the sword come.

Very sobering indeed and very much appreciate you highlighting this! In October 1992 General Conference, Elder L. Tom Perry gave a talk entitled, “Behold, the Lord Hath Shown unto Me Great and Marvelous Things,” (https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/1992/10/behold-the-lord-hath-shown-unto-me-great-and-marvelous-things?lang=eng) wherein he said that Mormon Chapter 8 was addressed to the church and its members.
He then went further and said, “Moroni’s last words to the members of the Church are written as a voice of warning,” and then quoted Mormon 8:34-28 and ends with the comment, “I guess one of the greatest mysteries of mortality is why mankind fails to learn from history.”
The Book of Mormon, for me, remains one of the most plain and precious ancient records that consistenly testifies, teaches about our Lord Jesus Christ and invites all Mankind to be reconciled with Christ through His redemption, by being brought back into His presence.
