Thousands of years from now, when people read about us, we will be described as fanatical worshipers of idols who dress up in strange ritualistic clothing to celebrate the gods we adore. Our idleness and the idols, which we deify will be on display in museums, recorded in digital books and other forms of advanced media, displaying us in all our Babylonian glory.
The ancient Israelites worshiped idols and are most commonly known for having built a golden calf to worship. Did they pray to it? Maybe, maybe not, but there can be no doubt about their devotion to the world they left behind when they exited Egypt. Today’s golden calves are much more intricate and advanced, but they are everywhere.
I agree most heartedly. I have family videos from a decade ago that would condemn me as an idol worshipper. I was prepping my little ones then to be idol worshippers too. Not long from there, my circumstances changed dramatically and I am very grateful to say that i was snatch from that hell, all because of His mercies.
Marc, this is awesome! Thank you for sharing your insight on this. I especially love the video – SkitGuys nail it!
Very well put!
How true! Also consider how people moan and complain about the cost of education and how much money education gets. BUT no one complains about tax payer money that is used to build stadiums for millionaire owners and millionaire players. It is obscene how priorities are all wrong in this world. Every one wants to be rich and famous and will do anything to get it.
Probably except work for it.
No kidding. Why work when you can get thieves elected to positions of power and get them to do your stealing for you. And to force your neighbor to live the way you think they should.
